UPDATE: 30th March 2020

In order to protect staff at the Parish Office, the Parish Offices are closed. One member of staff will attend the offices to deal with telephone enquiries only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings but will not be opening the doors to anyone. Staff will have access to their email accounts remotely and the following message will be given as an automatic response:

Thank you for contacting the Parish Office. Due to the current situation, the Parish Office is closed. Emails can be accessed remotely but we ask that if your communication is to do with services that are not the Parish responsibility, please contact the following:

Roadworks, Street Lighting, pot-holes, overgrown PROW (Public rights of way), Internet issues etc., please contact Gloucestershire County Council via the website: www.gloucestershire county council and follow the link.

General Waste, Dog bins, Dog Behaviour Issues, Bin collections, Environmental issues, Planning applications etc. please contact Tewkesbury Borough Council via the website: www.tewkesbury borough council and follow the links.

If your inquiry does not relate to any other above, we will respond to your communication as soon as reasonably practicable. Thank you for your understanding during these difficult and uncertain times. Keep safe and be well.

During this time of uncertainty, the Play Areas, Parks & Skate-Park are CLOSED. This measure has been taken to keep you safe as well as others. Please, please do not climb over the gate/fence. Please take heed of the government’s guidelines/advice and rules. The sooner we all take heed of this, the sooner we will come through this.

The Parish Council has taken preventative measures to help Residents avoid social contact with each other and to ensure that Parish business is not compromised with either staff having to self-isolate or be absent through illness.

In line with Government guidance Churchdown Parish Council has agreed to take the following action:

  • To suspend all Council / Committee meetings for the foreseeable future.
  • To restrict access to Churchdown Parish Council Office

Meetings

The Council has implemented its’ emergency powers and has authorised its’ delegated powers to its’ officers in conjunction with its Chairman and Chairman of its’ committees in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972.

Office Opening

It is kindly requested that any business to be conducted with the Parish Office is either by telephone, email or letter where possible to minimise contact with staff members.

If you require urgent assistance and  you do need to make a visit to the office in person, please ring to make an appointment so we can arrange a suitable time and ensure that you are the only visitor to the office at that time.
